§ 14-71. Method adopted.

  • What is commonly known as the "Philadelphia plan of house numbering" is hereby adopted as the plan or system of numbering houses in the city, by which plan is meant and intended the numbering of houses by assigning 100 numbers to each square or block upon each street in the city, of which numbers, the odd numbers shall be assigned to the houses and buildings situated upon the west and south sides of the respective streets, and the even numbers shall be assigned to houses or buildings situated upon the east and north sides of such respective streets.
