§ 46-1. Collection and hauling vehicle license; liability insurance; fee.

  • No person shall engage in the business of commercial trash and rubbish collection and hauling without first having obtained from the controller of the city a license for each vehicle used in such business. Before any such license shall be issued, the applicant shall deposit public liability insurance with the clerk-treasurer of the city in an amount of not less than $25,000.00 on each of the vehicles for which an application is applied for. The fee for the license set forth in this section shall be $10.00 per year, payable to the city.
