§ 50-61. Permit.

  • (a)

    Required. Before any person shall move or commence to move any house, building or structure of any kind whatsoever on or along the streets, sidewalks, alleys or other public places of the city, such person shall first obtain from the board of public works and safety a permit to do so, upon filing an application for such permit with the city clerk-treasurer.

    (b)

    Application; authority to grant; bond. The application shall furnish and contain such information as may be required by the board of public works and safety. The board shall grant such permit upon a showing that the proposed location of the building will comply with the zoning ordinance and all other ordinances of the city. The board of public works and safety shall further have the power to require such applicant to give and furnish a bond conditioned for the payment of any damage to the city or any other property situated therein, and to indemnify the city against any loss or damage arising therefrom of whatsoever kind, with sureties to the approval of such board.

    (c)

    Violations; penalties. Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be fined in any sum not exceeding $100.00.
