§ 42-6. Fee schedule for programs/activities within the parks and recreation system.
(a)
The following fees shall be collected at Tower Park Municipal Swimming Pool and remitted to the clerk-treasurer for deposit into the general fund account:
Logansport Municipal Pool Fees Open Swim Fee Child, ages 0—4 Free of Charge Child, ages 5—16 $2.00 per person Adult, ages 17 and older $4.00 per person Punch card—Child or adult to use $40.00 for 20 visits Punch card—Child or adult to use $75.00 for 50 visits Swim lessons (8 30-minute sessions) $30.00 per person Parent and tot class (4 30-minute lessons) $20.00 per parent and child Junior lifeguarding (4 1-hour lessons) $30.00 per person Water aerobics (8 1-hour sessions) $30.00 per person (b)
The Logansport Parks and Recreation Board is authorized to offer free swimming days to the public as is appropriate.
(c)
A supply fee will be utilized to cover the cost of materials purchased for a specific program. The supply fee will be added to the program fee and remitted to the clerk-treasurer for deposit into the parks non-reverting operating fund. The Logansport Parks and Recreation Board is authorized to set a supply fee as necessary.
(d)
The following fees shall be collected for various programs and activities and remitted to the clerk-treasurer for deposit into the park non-reverting operating fund:
Snow-tube rental $2.50 per 1-man tube $4.00 per 2-man tube Daddy-Daughter Valentine Dance $15.00 per couple $4.00 per additional daughter Holiday programs $1.00 per person + supply fee BINGO programs $1.00 per person + supply fee Yard or garage sale or craft show $10.00 per adult booth $5.00 per youth booth Special event activity tickets $0.50 apiece Minor league/T-ball softball program $15.00 per child Individual youth tennis lessons $30.00 per 8 lessons Individual youth golf lessons $30.00 per 5 lessons Daily summer activity program $15.00 per child per day $60.00 per child per week Tower Park Triathlon for Kids $20.00 per person Fourth of July vendor booth $40.00 per booth $25.00 per non-profit booth Parade entry fee $25.00 per entry Bottled soft drinks in the parks $1.00 each (e)
When special events operate activity areas during an event (e.g., July 4th climbing wall), the parks administrator is authorized to determine the number of special event activity tickets required to offset the cost of operating each activity area. Park staff will sell activity tickets for which operators will collect the required number of tickets for that specific activity. The total of these funds collected will be remitted to the clerk-treasurer for deposit into the parks non-reverting operating fund.
(f)
An admission fee(s) shall be collected at the Benjamin Long Recreation Center and remitted to the clerk-treasurer for deposit into the general fund account:
Open gym: $1.00 per visit (child or adult); or $10.00 punch card for 12 visits (child or adult); or $20.00 punch card for 25 visits (child or adult). Team rental: $20.00 per hour for organized team activity (basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer, field hockey, etc). (g)
That the Logansport Parks and Recreation Department will honor credit cards as prescribed by the clerk-treasurer's procedures for payment of parks and recreation fees related to programs, activities, and reservations offered by the Logansport Parks and Recreation Department.
(h)
That, in the event a resident of the City of Logansport is unable to pay the specific program activity fee, the common council agrees to authorize the parks administrator to waive the program activity fee provided the following requirements are met prior to participation in the program or activity:
(1)
Completed scholarship application reviewed by parks administrator;
(2)
The youth applicant has been verified as living inside the boundary of the Logansport Community School Corporation;
(3)
The parks administrator has retained, and has on file, all of the applicant's documents verifying and supporting the applicant's request for fee waiver.
(i)
Refunds for any Logansport Parks and Recreation Department fees including punch passes, activities or programs (including those at the municipal pool) may be made with the authorization of the parks administrator. A full refund less an administrative fee, where applicable, will be issued when the following requirements are met:
(1)
A written, signed request has been received by the parks administrator, from the participant requesting a program or activity refund; and
(2)
The program/activity has not yet begun.
