§ 42-7. Rental fees for use of park facilities.

(a)

Specific parties having exclusive use of the parks department facilities will pay rental fees as identified below. Annually, these rental fees shall be raised three percent, and rounded to the nearest whole dollar.

(b)

Picnic tables, benches, bleachers, and indoor tables and chairs are not available for rental activities.

(c)

Rentals are available only during park operating hours of 6:00 a.m.—10:00 p.m. Any exceptions to those hours must be approved by the Logansport Parks Administrator.

(d)

A discount of 25 percent will be available to those residents of the City of Logansport that can prove their status as a resident as defined in the policy for the public's use of park facilities. Also, a discount of 50 percent will be available to those resident non-profits of the City of Logansport that can prove their status as defined in the policy for the public's use of park facilities.

(e)

The rental fees shall be collected at the Logansport Parks and Recreation Department offices at the Benjamin Long Recreation Center or the McHale Complex at Riverside Park in accordance to the written policy for facility rentals. Fees will then be received by the clerk-treasurer and deposited in the parks non-reverting operating park beautification fund to be utilized as determined in the annual budget.

(f)

The Logansport Parks and Recreation Department will honor credit cards as prescribed by the clerk-treasurer's procedures for payment of parks and recreation fees related to programs, activities and reservations offered by the Logansport Parks and Recreation Department.

(g)

Refunds in regards to any Logansport Parks and Recreation Department fees for season tickets, trail fees, activities or programs (including those at the municipal pool or municipal golf course) may be made with the authorization of the parks administrator. A full refund less an administrative fee where applicable will be issued when the following requirements are met:

(1)

A written signed request has to be received by the parks administrator, from the participant requesting a program or activity refund; and

(2)

The program/activity has not been held.

(3)

Partial refunds will be authorized as stated in the policy for revenue pricing in regards to refunds.

(4)

Waived fees shall not be refunded.
